How Sessions Work:
All sessions are tailored to fit the course and the teacher for each individual school. The focus is on maximizing exam scores by helping the student understand how to do the types of problems that are most likely to appear on exams. These problems are broken down into steps that are easy to master and understand.
During most of the session the students do problems in preparation for the next exam. As they work, I look through their prior exams (if available) to see if they have any weaknesses that need to be corrected before the exam. I also advise them on the best way to study for the course and urge them to meet with their teacher on a regular basis to practice the concepts they are having trouble with (see my post below).
At the request of the parent, I’m happy to consult with the teacher for advice on what areas of the course to focus on.
If you need help in any of these subjects, please drop me a line.
